Pools with automatic water fillers, or 'autofill' can contain leaks that have gone unnoticed for years. By keeping the pool filled the autofill makes easy to spot leaks much less obvious. You will not notice a drop in water level if the autofill is on so it should be turned off twice a year or more to check for leaks. There are also other signs of a leak that the autofill can not mask. If you notice your normal chemical routine is no longer working and you are having trouble keeping your pool chemically balanced, you might have a leak.
